Your Result:
Sisterhood
Your body is asking for a circle.
Your answers suggest that feeling alone within your cycle may be adding to the load. For most of human history, women learned about their bodies from and with other women. Many of us now carry it all in silence, and isolation makes everything, from pain to stress, feel heavier. Feeling understood can sometimes feel like a luxury or an exception. But we need it. It helps regulate us, and it’s part of how we heal.
It may feel that in order to restore our menstrual health, we need to eat better and exercise differently. But this approach doesn’t take into account the complexity of our brain as women. One of our essential needs is connection, and without it, certain levels of restoration can not be achieved. Menstrual health also includes sisterhood health.
“Let me remind all women that we live longer and better lives when we have sisters we love, not necessarily born in our bloodline or of our race. Sisters.”’
Maya Angelou
Three small things to try this week
Call (not text; we want real human intonation for this) a friend while you’re doing something that doesn’t require focus, and hang out with them as you talk about anything you want.
Ask a friend how she has been lately, and just listen. Do not give advice or bring the conversation back to yourself.
Go to a café or the library by yourself, sit, and allow yourself to be surrounded by people without distracting yourself on your phone. Pay attention to people. You may do something in the meantime, but it can’t be anything with a screen.
Note: At my wedding, a group of women in my circle came with fake matching tattoos to showcase our belonging together. We took this picture, and this AI rendition of the picture has been going around in our little circle for a while. It represents the peak of sisterhood to me.
Your second area: where you scored the second-highest
Before you move on, one important thing.
Your period is not supposed to hurt, and it deserves to be properly looked at. If you experience intense and life-disrupting symptoms such as severe pain, very heavy bleeding, missing periods, bleeding between periods, or symptoms that are getting worse, this might indicate underlying causes that deserve a medical check-up. Please book an appointment with a doctor or gynecologist if this is your case.
Natural approaches can be a wonderful companion to medical care, but never a replacement for it. Your result is a place to start alongside that, not instead of it.
Please understand that my work at Spotless Girl is not a replacement for medical care or professional therapy.
Your Next Step
When you understand your cycle, you finally have words to share and a way to talk with other women.

The Menstrual Wellness Starter Kit is a short, low-cost course that walks you through the basics of your cycle and how you can start to reclaim it through holistic and natural lenses. It’s the foundation for everything else, and it will show you how it connects to your area so you know where to go deeper.
