Your Result: Nutrition
Your body is asking to be nourished.
Your answers suggest your body may be asking for specific nutrients, vitamins, and minerals, or for different eating habits better aligned with your cycle. Hormones respond strongly to our digestive system and need specific organs, like the liver, to function well to metabolise and detoxify. Your nutrition habits impact these heavily.
Focusing on Nutrition isn’t about going on a diet or any restrictive system. It’s about learning what the body needs, when, and how to make sure it absorbs most of it. With the increase of processed foods and the deterioration of soil quality, our body typically needs more input of nutrients and vitamins than our ancestors did. This allows our hormones to flow smoothly, and a lack of it is one of the main causes of PMS today.
A well-nourished woman is unstoppable.
Three small things to try this week
Start the day with a glass of warm water with a dash of lemon juice in it, before any coffee or food.
Add a protein to your breakfast: egg, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, chicken, etc.
For one week, keep track of your food, energy, and cravings each day. Try to notice if any patterns emerge from your observations.
Before you move on, one important thing.
Your period is not supposed to hurt, and it deserves to be properly looked at. If you experience intense and life-disrupting symptoms such as severe pain, very heavy bleeding, missing periods, bleeding between periods, or symptoms that are getting worse, this might indicate underlying causes that deserve a medical check-up. Please book an appointment with a doctor or gynecologist if this is your case.
Natural approaches can be a wonderful companion to medical care, but never a replacement for it. Your result is a place to start alongside that, not instead of it.
Please understand that my work at Spotless Girl is not a replacement for medical care or professional therapy.
Your Next Step
Seeing how each phase changes what your body needs and what nutrients each hormone needs to function is the best first step before going deeper into food.
