Mindset
Your body is asking for kindness.
Hormones and mental well-being are deeply connected: the way we see ourselves, the mental load, the daily habits, and the self-talk are all expressed in physical symptoms. When our thoughts are having a hard time, the body follows, and the symptoms often feel unexplained. Plus, it’s not always easy to cut through all the noise of mental chaos. It can be confusing, and we’re also bombarded with messages through marketing that remind us that we’re not good enough.
Many women have been taught to distrust themselves and their bodies. Prioritising mental health is not about following trends or increasing productivity; it’s about reconnecting with the way your brain works and making sure it is in alignment with what your body needs. It’s about cultivating clarity of mind, compassionate self-talk, and healthy boundaries for ourselves.
A woman who understands the power of her mind can create any lifestyle she desires.
Three small things to try this week
Each evening, name one thing your body did for you that day.
Divide your to-do list into 4 sections: Need to (without it, I can’t move on), should do (usually where procrastination lives), have to (it’s an essential part of life), want to (what do I really ant?). Pick one from each to start having a bit more balance in your daily routines.
Write down a letter to yourself as if you were writing to a friend. Tell yourself about your day, your ideas, your dreams, your sadness, etc.
Before you move on, one important thing.
Your period is not supposed to hurt, and it deserves to be properly looked at. If you experience intense and life-disrupting symptoms such as severe pain, very heavy bleeding, missing periods, bleeding between periods, or symptoms that are getting worse, this might indicate underlying causes that deserve a medical check-up. Please book an appointment with a doctor or gynecologist if this is your case.
Natural approaches can be a wonderful companion to medical care, but never a replacement for it. Your result is a place to start alongside that, not instead of it.
Please understand that my work at Spotless Girl is not a replacement for medical care or professional therapy.
